Pick a Fight with The Hulk

Beer.com picks who we'd like to see take The Hulk on in a fight...

Tomorrow, Friday June 13th, marks the release of the mega-blockbuster The Incredible Hulk starring Liv Tyler and Edward Norton. In case you aren't familiar with who and what The Hulk is, he's basically a nerdy scientist named Bruce Banner who is filled with SO MUCH RAGE that it turns him into a big green steroid freak. In times of relaxation he's a little nerd, but when he's ticked he turns into a giant rampaging billboard for the benefits of Tai Chi.

In the comics he's fought possibly every hero in the Marvel universe - in fact, he was considered such a threat that they shot him into fucking space to get rid of him. But, unfortunately for them, he landed on an alien planet filled with gladiatorial combat, only making Hulk angrier and better at fighting - which is a lot like duct taping a knife to a knife to make it kill easier.

So if The Hulk is so good at fighting and has already kicked the asses of every superhero in the Marvel universe, who's next?

Well here's Beer.com's picks for The Hulk's next opponents...

Rambo/Rocky

Either/or, we'd like to see Rambo take on the bullet-proof giant with nothing but a bow and a hunting knife - lets see him mow down The Hulk with a chain gun like he did the army of Burma.

If not Rambo, watching The Hulk go toe-to-toe with Rocky would be EPIC. Sure, Rocky would get his ass handed to him, but you know that he's just dumb enough to keep getting up. Even after The Hulk backhands him through a wall, Rocky will wait for the 7-count and get back up.

It's such a lopsided fight that we can imagine The Hulk flicking Rocky away like a fly, or breathing heavily on him and knocking him over. But you can be sure that it'll be entertaining to watch - like watching midgets playing basketball.

Odds: 200:1

The Predator

The title tech-alien from the iconic film franchise would be a brawl we'd like to see. The Hulk is no stranger to fighting aliens, and The Predator is the ultimate, well, predator, constantly looking for the next great hunt... they're perfect for each other.

The Predator is equipped with the top in alien tech - from the weapon-equipped pole weapons, to ninja-star-on-crack throwing weapons, and don't forget the wrist-mounted mini-nuke self-destruct that's standard issue for all hunters (pick it up at your local Bass Pro Shop today!) so he's got an edge... if it weren't for The Hulk being inde-fucking-structable.

So while The Predator might confuse and confound The Hulk with turning invisible and throwing the equivalent of nuclear-powered spit wads at the Jade Giant, he's got no chance. The Hulk will rip his squid-face apart.

Odds: 10:1

T-1000

The shape-changing liquid metal future robot bent on wiping out humanity would be an amazing opponent for The Big Green Menace. As a threat to humanity, Hulk could flex his heroic muscle (located on his pinky finger, we assume), but getting his hands on something that could change into mercury in a heartbeat...

T-1000 can regenerate, change his hands into sharpened weapons, and melt under doorways... not exactly an easy opponent. But with a weakness like extreme heat and extreme cold, we'd only assume The Hulk would be smart enough to throw him into the sun or hang out in Canada.

Ultimately, T-1000 would fall to the brute strength of The Hulk - being beaten into a wet spot in the ground, melted, or frozen and smashed into dust. It would be entertaining to watch the robot be smacked around for a while - but there's very little chance he can win.

Odds: 12:1

Ryu from Street Fighter

The martial-arts master from the Street Fighter games is as close to a videogame hero as it gets - he's solid badass in a gui! We wouldn't put it past Ryu to join the heroic cause in stopping one of The Hulk's rampages so the possibility of this fight happening is pretty decent.

Ryu is a master of martial arts, utilizing techniques like the Sho-Ryuken, Hurricane Kick, and Hadouken (back to down, strong punch) and being a tough mofo known for taking on M. Bison, Guile, Chun-Li, and more throughout the course of the Street Fighter series. Throwing fireballs at The Hulk maybe isn't the wisest move (like poking a tiger with a lit cigarette) but it's brave. Stupid, but brave.

While Ryu can go toe-to-toe for a round or two, there's seriously no way a mere mortal man can do what no hero has been able to do. Ryu's bones are breakable, he bleeds, and, if the Street Fighter games are any indication, you can usually jump right over his Hadoukens.

Odds: 7:1

The Power Rangers

Yes, the 5 heroes from our childhood - in helmets and brightly-colored spandex with GIANT fucking robots. Outside of their spandex jumpsuits they're 5 normal high school kids, but throw on a motorcycle helmet and a leotard and they're Jackie fucking Chan. They defend the world from alien threats, so jumping in and taking on The Hulk fits somewhere just outside their jurisdiction, but what self-respecting hero turns down a chance for a fight?

The big advantage the Power Rangers have, aside from pretty decent martial arts skills, is their giant robots. Each ranger has their own vehicle-sized robot that combine, Voltron-style, into a giant ass-kicking machine with a really big sword! It's not like The Hulk hasn't taken down big robots before, but this is a three-stage fight for The Green Guy.

After summarily and easily kicking the asses of the kids hand-to-hand, the big rager needs to take on 5 car-sized robots. If he can do enough damage to them, then he needs to take on a GIANT robot. With a GIANT sword. It's no easy fight, but he can do it. He's The Hulk!

Odds: 3:1

The Hulk is the baddest mofo in the universe. He's not unbeatable, but the chances of one person beating The Jade Giant is slim - even the toughest of the tough from around the universe can't stand toe-to-toe with him.

So what chance does The Abomination stand tomorrow when he takes on The Hulk in theaters? How will the U.S. Military fare? Does even Iron Man stand a chance??

If The Hulk could fight any fictional or real person in the known universe, who would YOU have him fight? Let me know below!
