Mirror's Edge is based on a not-too-distant future where all communications are monitored by the government, and the only method of communication that's safe from prying eyes is hand-delivered, written messages.

To deliver these, people employ highly trained couriers to act as "mailmen". These runners leap from building to building to evade authorities.

You play one of these runners, with a goal to accomplish and nothing but your body to accomplish it with.
