Appearance:
Bright golden colored ale. Head of white foam comprised of a variety of bubble sizes. Lightly carbonated.
Smell:
Caramel, butterscotch and sweet malt combine sweetly in the nose. Caramel element persistent and present throughout tasting.
Taste:
Medium in body. On the palate, dry and malty mouthful, with a soft undercurrent of hop bitterness. Middle sees malt maintaining its dominating core presence. Medium length finish delivers caramel, malt and butterscotch flavors forward, with a light background note from the hops. Hop bitterness apparent but overshadowed by the caramel to some degree.
Notes:
Bottle conditioned, therefore brewer's yeast sediment in the bottle. Cask beer in a bottle. Unpasteurized.
